IV Sedation
IV sedation is one of the fastest and most effective forms of sedation, because it is administered intravenously and gets straight to the blood stream. You will almost instantly start to feel relaxed and lethargic, and will drift into a waking dream-like state.
You will remain awake and conscious throughout the appointment, although some patients do relax enough to fall asleep, you will be easily awakened. The details may be fuzzy and your perception of time may be altered as sedation does produce some analgesic effects, so you will be all done before you even know it!
